OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 February 2008 was announced, that the project includes the construction of combined-cycle plant 450 MW and 355 Gcal/h. Also there will be cooler, circulating pumping station, outdoor transformers and other necessary works.

New equipment comes on line in Q4 2009. As a result, electric capacity increase from 800 MW to 1250 MW, heat capacity- from 2250 Gcal/h to 2562 Gcal/h. Project costs around 13 billion RUR.The contractor of this project is Technopromexport.

Modern equipment will raise fuel economy up to 25 percent and also decrease negative impact on the environment.

New energy block of Yuzhnaya CHPP-22 – one of the leading investment projects of TGC-1 in the technical refurbishment program of North-West capacities. TGC-1 Investment program 2006-2015 includes over 30 projects in four constituents of the Russian Federation. It’s estimated over 154 billion RUR.
