OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2008. Products of the largest Belarusian companies will be presented at the exhibition Belarus-2008 in Kaliningrad on February 19-21.

The forum will be organized within the framework of the seventh session of the Long-Term Cooperation Council of the Kaliningrad oblast of the Russian Federation with oblasts, ministries, governmental bodies of the Republic of Belarus. Vice Premier Andrei Kobyakov will head a Belarusian delegation to Kaliningrad. The exhibition aims to demonstrate industrial achievements, search for new partners and increase mutual trade, further develop the trade and economic cooperation and strengthen friendship between the two nations.

Over 70 companies of Belarus are going to take part in the exhibition. The Industry Ministry of Belarus will be presented by companies BATE, BelAZ, Gomselmash, Belkard, the Belarusian Steel Plant, the Minsk Vavilov Engineering Works, Mogilevliftmash, Bobruiskagromash, Brestmash, BelavtoMAZ and others. The exhibition will also include automobile, agricultural and road building equipment of the Minsk Automobile Works, Minsk Tractor Works, Amkodor. The Information Ministry of Belarus will be presented by the publishing houses Vysheishaya Shkola and Belarusskaya Nauka, the Minsk Colour Printing Factory and national mass media outlets.

Products, services and export opportunities will be demonstrated by the Gomel department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gomel-Raton, the department of physical education, sports and tourism of the Gomel oblast executive committee, the companies Gomelkhlebprom, Gomelmestprom, Gomelchanka, Slavyanka.

Among the other participants of the exhibition are the companies of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs, the concerns Belgospischeprom, Bellegprom, Belneftekhim and others.

The programme of the event envisages a roundtable with the participation of the representatives of the industrial companies of Belarus and the Kaliningrad oblast, the Gomselmash seminar, the presentation of the Information Ministry, meetings of the Belarusian and Russian businesspersons in the Kaliningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
