OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2008. In January 2008, Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled 440,600 tonnes of cargo (+17%, year-on-year), the port’s press center reports.

In the reported period the port handled mainly metal, hard components, containers, import automobiles and equipment. Transshipment of export cargo amounted to 259,400 tonnes (against 226,400 tonnes in January 2007) including 186,200 tonnes of metal and hard components (+75%, year-on-year), 40,300 tonnes of scrap metal (+46 %), 6,359 TEU of containers (+9%).

Transshipment of import cargo totaled 93,600 tonnes (against 95,300 tonnes in January 2007) including 5,273 TEU of containers (+31%), 14,258 units of automobile and equipment (+36%).
Transshipment of coastal trade cargo amounted to 87,600 tonnes (against 53,400 tonnes in January 2007) including 5,153 TEU of containers (+79%, year-on-year), 41,900 tonnes of oil products. In the reported period the port handled 259 vessels and 7,422 wagons.
