OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2007. In preparation for the 2008 consultations of Lithuania under Article IV of the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the mission of the European Department of the IMF, headed by Mr. James H. J. Morsink, Division Chief of the Northern Division of this Department, will work in Lithuania on 7-20 February, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

The IMF experts will analyse the current macroeconomic situation in Lithuania and general economic development forecasts, assess the financial sector development and the implementation of the budget policy measures.

The meetings are planned with the representatives of the Bank of Lithuania, the Ministry of Finance and other public institutions and the private sector.
