OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2007. Electronic banking is an high-tech, dynamically developing bank service area of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, allowing to perform real-time banking operations on remote distances via vast network of ATMs, information booths, Internet Banking system and MobilBank, reported the press-centre of International Bank of Azerbaijan.

Over the last years the IBA pays particular attention to electronic banking, continuously improving the existing and implementing new services. Thus, to date, the clients, using the ATM, information booth, their computers and even mobile phones, have the capability of checking their balance, receive statement reports, perform transfer of funds, conversions, pay for their electricity bills, for their conventional, mobile and Internet telecommunication services.

Besides, the IBA provides the capability to its corporate clients to manage their accounts on distance, in the secure manner, using an “Internet banking service".

According to Rauf Agayev, head of IBA Press-Service, over the last two years there was noted the positive growth trend in electronic payments and transfers. Thus, over 2007 there were 243,8 thousand operations for the total amount of 4,88 mln. manats had been performed via electronic banking systems. In this, the comparison between first and fourth quarters of 2007 shows 63% increase.

We shall note that 2,36 mln. manats of the above amount are accounted for CardTransfer system (transfers from one plastic card to another).

IBA press-service has informed that in 2008 it is planned to expand the range of electronic banking services. Special attention shall be paid to expansion of functions of the ATMs and information booths, as well as Internet Banking and recently implemented MobilBank (more detailed information on new service can be found on bank’s website www.ibar.az).
