OREANDA-NEWS. On 8 February 2008 was announced, that Golden Telecom Inc. and Open Joint Stock Company Vimpel-Communications announced the launch of a joint project in Moscow. Effective February 6, 2008, “Beeline” customers will be able to receive high-speed Internet access using the Golden WiFi network in Moscow.

In order to access the largest metropolitan WiFi-network in the world, “Beeline” customers are now able to dial a free-short number - 0509 and receive a text message containing a login and password required for registration. The service costs 100 roubles per online hour (including VAT) and is available to all “Beeline” customers, using both prepaid and post-paid systems. Clients who use the post-paid system will receive bills for WiFi Internet access together with the Beeline bills and the prepaid customers will have charged deducted from their accounts.
