OREANDA-NEWS. On 7 February 2008 was announced, that in 2007 OJSC “Novomoskovsk Joint Stock Company “Azot”, incorporated in OJSC MCC “EuroChem” produced 796.24 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers (in terms of 100-per cent content of nutrient substances) which increased the indicator of 2006 by 3%.

Notwithstanding the major repair carried out during the summer in the workshop “ammonia-2” as well as costs associated with operation of ammonia synthesis column (partial loss of accelerator from the column) in the workshop ammonia-4, the production output of ammonia in 2007 amounted to 1.516 million tons which corresponds to the output level in 2005-2006.

Output of carbamide declined to some extent (by 2.8%) in comparison with the previous year which is mainly associated with wear of the main technological equipment of the workshop carbamide-3. Total output of carbamide in 2007 amounted to 824.69 thousand tons.

At the same time significant growth of production volumes of ammonium nitrate has been observed. Over the expired period of time production thereof reached 1,194.45 thousand tons (114% compared to the results of 2006).

Steady growth of production was demonstrated by separate workshops of chlorous group of products. Thus, output of natrium hypochlorite amounted to 22.53 thousand tons (112%); granular calcium chloride – 5.83 thousand tons (growth 111%).

During the year significant growth also marked output of argon and carbon dioxide – it amounted to respectively 10.75 thousand tons (105.7% compared to output of 2006) and 6,47 thousand tons (195% to output of 2006).

Total output of methanol in 2007 reduced by 13.1 % and amounted to 370,72 thousand tons. Output reduction is associated with stoppage due to unprofitability of the workshop for production of methanol and dimethyl ether.
