OREANDA-NEWS. February 7, 2008. The throughput of UTC in the port of Illychivsk in January 2008 increased by 11% compared to the January, 2007 and reached 37,033 TEU.

The volume of 19,131 TEU was handled in export, and 17,902 TEU in import. The percentage of full boxes is 56%.

Rapid growth that started last year slowed down in January which was the result of the multiple customs inspection intensified by the SSU (Security Service of Ukraine). Besides, the growth of the terminal throughput was less then expected due to the fact that consignees were not ready to pick up their containers during the ten-day New Year holidays.
