OREANDA-NEWS. On February 04, 2007 Kuwaiti Trade and Industry Minister Falah Fahad Al-Hajeri took part in the first extraction of gas in the Poltava region, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

Kuwait's investments into the project total 100 M. USD. The company occupies the territory of 50,000 square meters and employs 70 experts, 20 of whom are citizens of Kuwait.

Ukraine signed a protocol on creation of the Inter-Governmental Commission on bipartite cooperation in late January. At a meeting with the foreign delegation, PM Yulia Tymoshenko also offered to step up cooperation in the space, transport and energy sectors.
