OREANDA-NEWS. On February 05, 2007 the ceremony of signing a protocol on Ukraine's accession to the World Trade Organization is scheduled, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The signing ceremony will take place during a meeting of the WTO General Council in Geneva (Switzerland) at 17:15, Kyiv time, WTO website says.

Ukraine must ratify the entry protocol before July 4, 2008, the site says.

Ukraine will become a full-fledged WTO member in 30 days after ratification of the document.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko is planning to attend the WTO General Council meeting.
Ukraine launched the WTO entry process in 1993.
