OREANDA-NEWS. On 29th January a business lunch was held in Moscow office of the international rating agency Fitch Ratings, in which CEO of  OJSC “Transsibirean Reinsurance corporation” Irina Postnikova and marketing director Dmitriy Suetin participated.

On 29th January a business lunch was held in Moscow office of the international rating agency Fitch Ratings, in which CEO of  OJSC “Transsibirean Reinsurance corporation” Irina Postnikova and marketing director Dmitriy Suetin participated.

During the event the specialists of the rating agency presented their own researches “Russian insurance sector: year results, forecasts for future” and “Survey of trends in the sector of insurance and reinsurance in Europe”, in which the major trends of these markets have been analyzed.

A special report by of the Managing Director, Insurance, Fitch Ratings, London Geoff Mayne was devoted to the ratings agency’s experience in dealing with Russian insurers. The detailed analysis of the methods used by Fitch Ratings appeared to be quite useful both for the ones already dealing with the rating agency and for the ones potentially interested in that. As on the beginning of 2008 six Russian companies of insurance sector have received the public ratings by Fitch Ratings.

During the business lunch the Fitch Ratings specialists answered questions of CEO of Transsib Re. The professional dialogue continued afterwards in an informal atmosphere.

OJSC “Transsib Re” collaborates with the international rating agency Fitch Ratings since 2005 and has by now International Insurer Financial Strength rating at B+ and on the National IFS rating A-(rus). Both ratings have been changed Outlook from Stable to Positive on 29th November last year. We are the sole Russian Corporation among insurance companies that has International Insurer Financial Strength rating from 2 international agencies: Fitch Ratings and A.M. Best.
