OREANDA-NEWS. February 4, 2008.  OAO Severstal announced today that operations at Blast Furnace No. 5 at its Cherepovets steel plant resumed operations on 2nd February, following a fire on 31st January. Production volumes have returned to normal.

Investigations into the cause of the incident are underway, and an update will be given as soon as possible.
