OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 January  was opened a new site office of Norwegian company “DNV – Det Norske Veritas”.

Norwegian maritime register is one of the oldest classification societies in the world. Its main purpose is to monitor quality of civil shipbuilding objects under construction, ship repairing and environmental protection.

All objects built in Russia for Norway undergo obligatory DNV inspection. Sevmash cooperates with DNV from 2001 when fish plant for Norway was being built. Now cooperation on building “Odfjell” chemical carriers and marine semi-submerged platforms MOSS CS-50 continues.

It is not the first office of Norwegian company in Severodvinsk and the fact that Norwegians have settled in our town confirms that Sevmash has great prospects of civil shipbuilding.
