OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2008. Communication sector sales in Azerbaijan totaled $846.94 million for the passed year (AZN 0.85 = US$1).

The State Statistics Committee informed that in 2007 communications sector rendered services for AZN 719.9 million that is 27% more versus the 2006 figure. Of them 70.9% of services were rendered by cellular operators (growth of 35.8%). The population (72.6%) was the main consumer of services rendered for AZN 522.5 million (+29%).
