OREANDA-NEWS.On January 31, 2008 the National Exhibition of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of External Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan has opened at the Exhibition Centre in Ashkhabat today.

Over 60 companies and public enterprises specialized in various spheres from the neighbouring country presents their products at the Exhibition.

Some sections of the Exhibition are dedicated to dynamically developed trade and economic co-operation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The visitors will receive more opportunities to know more about the present day of the neighbouring country, its export potential and foreign economic and investment policies.

The exhibits include the photo and video materials, a great variety of the models, motor vehicles, agricultural machines and household appliances manufactured at the Uzbek enterprises. The specialized pavilions presenting the achievements in all fields of national economy, in particular the fuel and energy sector, textile, food, pharmaceutical, construction industries, agriculture, etc will host the visitors at the Exhibition Centre for three days.

One of the largest sections is dedicated to the cultural heritage of the Uzbek people.
