OREANDA-NEWS. On January 30, 2007 Kazakhstan Bank of Development JSC (Astana), securities of which are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) category "A" official list, provided KASE with the press-release in which the following is informed, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Passed on January 25 in Astana Practical conference "Interaction of Business and Kazakhstan Bank of Development: experience and perspectives", had become the next initiative of KBD, aimed on activization of cooperation with business and commercial organizations. In this connection also in May 2007 was held the International conference concerning questions of state-private partnership (SPP) and in June 2007 was signed the Agreement about partnership with six Kazakhstan commercial banks.

In the Conference had participated representatives of all large Kazakhstan banks, companies - borrowers and also new potential clients of KBD.

During the Conference were discussed questions of financing of investments considering formed external and internal conditions. Chairman of Board of directors of KBD M.Sagyndykov had noted the significant growth of amount of projects and loan portfolio of KBD. In total since  beginning of activity by the Bank were approved and are on different stages of realization 150 projects for total amount of $5,9 bn. In year 2007 the Bank approved 50 projects for total of $3,2 bn.

General director of VITA JSC P.Potapov, head of Paragon Development LLP S.Kushenov had also bring the number of important suggestions in relation of widening of its activities. Particular anxiety of business for the last time is causing the significant decrease of volume of financing of circulating assets by commercial banks.

Separately was discussing the refinancing of investment projects of commercial banks in the frames of Plan of initial actions for providing of stability of financial sector of economy of RK. In the frames of given program by the Bank were approved first 12 projects for a total sum of refinancing $250 m.

By the words of President of KBD Zh.Zhakanov in year 2008 KBD will not only decrease, but increase significantly the financing of production sector, both in the frames of state programs and by account of own funds. Already in perspective portfolio of Bank are about 130 projects for amount more than $2,5 bn. Still main priorities will be electro-energy and transport infrastructure, processing industry and agricultural products processing. Is considering the possibility of financing of projects of tourist infrastructure.

General opinion of participants was positive estimation and need of continue of different forms of dialog for activization of cooperation between business and development institutions.
