OREANDA-NEWS. On January 29, 2007 Ukio bankas, in cooperation with Lithuania’s artists, opened new spaces for displaying works of art. The Private Banking Department located in Gedimino av. 1 in Vilnius will for three months exhibit the works by famous graphic artist Tatjana Discenko, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

“We are happy that the premises of Ukio bankas have become non-traditional spaces for artists’ works. When creating stylish environment of the bank we try to emphasize the importance of art and provide an advantageous space for exhibiting Lithuania artists’ works. Ukio bankas clients are offered the unique opportunity to enjoy and acquire valuable works of art,” Zivile Geralaviciute-Davodov, director of Ukio bankas Private Banking Department, said.

Ukio bankas, displaying graphic artist T. Discenko’s works, will active cooperate with Lithuanian creators in the future as well. “This partnership shows that Ukio bankas appreciates Lithuania’s professional art and at the same time tries to create an attractive and aesthetic space of services for its clients,” Z. Geralaviciute-Davodov said.

Artist T. Discenko’s creative works are well known to those who are interested in the Lithuanian graphic art. The artist likes and uses a lot of Renaissance motifs in her works. Other exceptional traits of T. Discenko’s works are a close relationship between the God, human being and his environment as well as frequently occurring blue shades. The graphic artist applies a lot of musical motifs, which are used both as the elements of her works and the titles of these works.

Born in Estonia, artist T. Discenko developed her creative abilities at Lvov Institute of Printing and Publishing Technology and gained creative experience from different cultural traditions. Having created animated cartoons for a long time, now the artist lives in Lithuania and expresses her creative ideas in graphic works. T. Discenko in her works connects the tradition of Renaissance masters and the present.

Visitors are welcome to T. Discenko’s exhibition of graphic art on workdays from 8:00 until 17:00 at Ukio bankas Private Banking Department, address: Gedimino av. 1, Vilnius.
