OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2008. In 2008 Gomselmash plans to double the exports to reach $200 million, BelTA learnt from Igor Korotkevich, the head of the Gomselmash sales department.

According to him, the sales will grow due to an increase in supplies of agricultural equipment to the Russian regions. In accordance with the signed contracts and agreements, the company will continue developing trade with other states as well.

Gomselmash has signed $5million worth of contracts on the exports to Kazakhstan including for the joint venture engaged in assembling Belarusian combine harvesters. Sales specialists are sure that in H1 2008 this figure will jump several times more. In 2007 Belarus exported $2.3 million worth of products to Kazakhstan.

In 2008 Gomselmash has dispatched four harvesters KVK-800 to Argentina. The company is getting ready to deliver the first assignment of mounted bucketwheel mowing machines KIN-F-1500 “Polesie-1500” and KDP 3000 “Polesie” to Uzbekistan.

Gomselmash is expected to sign a contract on a purchase of harvesters by the Iranian company GONABAD (Gomselmash has signed a dealer contract with the Iranian company). According to the company’s information, the contract will cover not less than 100 agricultural vehicles.

A delegation from Hungary will pay a visit to the company in February 2008. The two sides are going to sign an agreement on creating in Hungary a dealer centre on the sales of the equipment accredited in line with the EU standards. The centre will be similar to that set up in the Czech Republic in 2007.

According to Igor Korotkevich, Gomselmash has other plans and projects to develop the trading cooperation with the non-CIS countries.
