OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2008. The first stage includes constructing an arc-furnace (melting) shop (AFMS), administrative facilities, public utilities infrastructure; the second stage envisages construction of a rolling mill. Currently a shipment of Swedish equipment for AFMS was received; construction of a residential building for 300 people and an administrative building was finished.

It was previously announced that construction of a plant for special steels production – New Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant – was launched at the site of the former open hearth furnace of Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant. The volume of investments in construction will reach ?130 mln; the plant will provide special steels production to the volume of 520,000 t per year. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for September 2009.
