OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2007. Andrey Pogodin was born in Moscow on 30th of May, 1956, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.

Having left the Higher School of USSR Committee for State Security named after F. Dzerzhinskiy, he got the qualification of communications engineer. In 80-s A.Pogodin worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of USSR. Within the period from1992 to 1996 he was the Advisor to the Department of the Ministry of the Russian Federation.

Since 1996 to the recent time Andrey Pogodin was Vice Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.

In 2007 he was awarded the Medal of People's Friendship by the Order of the President of the Russian Federation.
