In 2007, throughput of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port grew by 2%, year-on-year, to 80.926 million tonnes including 57.175 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+4.35%, year-on-year). Transshipment of oil totaled 47.337 million tonnes (against 44.289 million tonnes in 2006). Transshipment of dry bulk amounted to 9.3 million tonnes, general cargo – 12.105 million tonnes including 3.656 million tonnes of containerized cargo, or 261,000 TEU (+55% against 2,346 tonnes in 2006).

Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP OJSC) is the largest stevedoring company operating at the port of Novorossiysk. Beneficiaries of the company’s control stake are Aleksandr Ponomorenko (Chairman of NCSP BOD) and Aleksandr Skorobogatko (Deputy of State Duma).  In November 2007, NCSP held IPO at London Stock Exchange and in Russia having placed 19.38% of shares. NCSP capitalization totaled $4.9 billion.
