Ukraine-Sweden Economic Cooperation Grows
OREANDA-NEWS. On January 26, 2007 prospects of bipartite trade-economic and investment cooperation have been discussed at a meeting between Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn and Swedish Ambassador to Ukraine Christer Ahlander, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.
Bohdan Danylyshyn informed the Swedish party on priorities of Ukraine's economy policy, notably, creation of favorable conditions for running business, stimulation of investment-innovation reformation, development of banking activity, improvement of customs rules, regulation of wages and others.
He also noted that Ukraine is interested in Swedish investment and admitted to 739,4 M. USD Swedish investment in 2007.
The parties also discussed fearing up to an official visit of Swedish Minister for Trade Eva Bjorling and other officials to Ukraine.
2007 trade turnover between Ukraine and Sweden totaled 673,6 M. USD, which is by 85% more year-over-year.
