Leningrad NPP Sounded Achievements of 2007 and Basic Tasks for 2008
OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 January 2008 director of LNPP Valery Lebedev presenred the report on the work of Leningrad NPP in 2007. In this report he pointed out 5 key achievements of 2007 and 6 basic tasks for 2008.
One of the best achievements of Leningrad NPP in 2007 was the production of 24.633bln KWh – 16% of Rosenergoatom Concern's total output. The capacity factor made up 70.3%.
The second achievement was the launch of the construction of Leningrad NPP-2.
The third achievement was the completion of the modernization and life extension of the 2nd unit of Leningrad NPP.
The last two results are the successful conduct of complex emergency exercise and joint Rostekhnadzor-STUK inspection.
Lebedev specified the number of the plant's employees in 2007: 6,007 people: 5,668 industrial and 339 non-industrial employees. The average salary made up 28,422 RUR a month - 6.3% higher than the average salary at Rosenergoatom's NPPs. In 2007 the plant raised its average salary by 48.5%.
In 2007 Leningrad NPP allocated 84mln RUR for improving the housing conditions of its employees.
The basic tasks for 2008 are as follows:
• to fulfill the electricity production plan – 29.4bln KWh (the highest index since 1985) and to show 83.4% capacity;
• to timely completye the modernization and life extension of the 3rd unit;
• to commission the systems for treatment and storage of spent nuclear feul and radiaoctive waste;
• to approve the investment project for modernization and life extension of the 4th unit;
• to intensify personnel policy and to recruit new specialists (in 2007 the personnel deficit made up 493 people);
• to fulfill the collective agreement.
