OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2008. Professional participants of the securities market met at the office of Depository Clearing Company to discuss the possibility to qualify foreign financial instruments as securities due to the Order of FFMS of Russia No. 07-105/pz-n of October 23, 2007.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the FFMS of Russia, infrastructural institutions of the securities market and investment and financial institutions of the Russian Federation.

The meeting participants discussed a number of legal and technical peculiarities related with the circulation in Russia of financial instruments which have not been assigned ISIN (International securities identification number) and/or CFI (Classification of Financial Instruments) codes.

Following the meeting results, DCC was requested to sum up the viewpoint of the professional community on an efficient way to arrange qualification of foreign financial instruments as securities and to forward the summarized suggestions to the FFMS of Russia.
