OREANDA-NEWS. On January 24, 2007 Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector with Minister of Industry and Infrastructure of Moldova Vladimir Antosii in Kyiv, the ministry's press service told.

The sides discussed the Ukrainian energy exports to Moldova and bringing the energy price to the level of wholesale energy prices on the Ukrainian market.

The ministers agreed to continue cooperation in building the high-voltage Novodnistrovsk-Belci-Suceava power line. They also confirmed their intent to connect the two countries' energy systems to the UCTE synchronous zone.
