OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2008. The tenth well № 2297 drilled through five-block platform № 1887 in Neft Dashlari was put into operation. As geologists estimated, the well produces 30 tons of high-quality oil every day. There are several productive horizons in the reserve which will also be developed. In total, 36 wells will be drilled through the platform which will daily produce 1000 tons of oil. 10 wells have been drilled until now. 7 of them are on stream and 3 of them are under repair. The daily production of the wells is 500 tons. 5 more wells will be drilled through the platform during the year of 2008 which will increase production for 200 tons. In November 2004, when the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev attended the 55th anniversary of Neft Dashlari, he commissioned oilmen to increase the daily production of the field 1.5 times, and to bring it up to 1.2 million tons to 812 thousand tons.

The production rate of the field is increasing year by year in compliance with the commission of the President. In 2007, 942 thousand 300 tons of oil was produced with supplementary 18 thousand 720 tons. Hence, the forecast was fulfilled 102 percent. It should be noted that the field produced 898.5 thousand tons of oil during 2006. Thus, oilmen achieved 43-thousand-ton rise in production a year. The accomplishments were due to the increase of drilling activities. In 2006, 11 wells were put on stream, but in 2007 this number constituted 22. Consequently, the new wells produced additional 61 thousand 200 tons of oil. The production index of the field in 2008 is projected to be 950 thousand 180 tons. However, the collective of the unit plans to exceed a 1-million limit. Next year Neft Dashlari will celebrate its 60th anniversary. Therefore, oilmen are persistent to fulfill the order of the President in 2009. In order to achieve the desirable results, 20 more wells have to be drilled. 5 of them will be drilled through the platform № 2387 which was commissioned on the eve of the New Year. 5 more wells will be drilled through the platform № 1887.

The rest of the planned wells will be drilled in Palchig Pilpilasi filed which contains more than enough residua. In addition, 12-well platform № 2415 is to be installed in the field soon which will be the third one in number. The construction of the platform has already been completed. According to the SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, in order to increase production in Neft Dashlari, 6 platforms are to be constructed and commissioned in the field by 2010. In total, 78 wells will be drilled through those platforms.
