OREANDA-NEWS. On January 22, 2007 Mobile TeleSystems OJSC ("MTS" - NYSE: MBT), the largest mobile phone operator in Russia and the CIS, announced that its consolidated subscriber base reached 81.97 million users on December 31, 2007, reported the press-centre of MTS.

During December 2007, MTS' consolidated subscriber base increased by 1,76 million subscribers.
