OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2007. Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC decreased its throughput by 8%, year-on-year, to 19.6 million tonnes, the company’s press center reports. The decrease should be attributed to the strike activities of the port’s dock workers and to the strike’s negative consequences. In the reported period, transshipment of oil cargo totaled 14.1 million tonnes (-1.4%, year-on-year), general cargo – 5.5 million tonnes (-20%). Transshipment of coal amounted to 2.9 million tonnes (-6%), ferrous metal – 1.3 million tonnes (-35%).
