Stroytransgaz Takes Active Part in Burgas-Alexandroupolis Pipeline
OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2007. The official two-day visit of President Vladimir Putin to Bulgaria has come to a close. During the trip, an agreement of shareholders was signed for the Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline project. Stroytransgaz President Victor Lorents took part in the gala signing ceremonies.
Relying on successful work realizing oil and gas construction projects in Greece, Stroytransgaz is preparing to take a most active role in building the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline.

After Stroytransgaz was officially registered in Greece in 1996, the company became a steadfast participant in the economic cooperation between Russia and Greece in the energy industry construction sphere.
From 1996 through 2007, within the framework of an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Greece for the supply of natural gas, Stroytransgaz built 446 kilometers of high-pressure gas pipelines and branches.
In August of last year, Stroytransgaz completed laying the Komotini-Alexandroupolis gas pipeline. Its total length is 53.7 kilometers.
As one of the Russian members of a three-party working committee representing Russia, Bulgaria, and Greece, Stroytransgaz participated from 2000 to 2006, in designing the concept for the project to construct the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline. In particular, the company was engaged in detailed development of the construction engineering elements.
