Port of Gdynia Opens Its Doors for Students
OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2007. Students from Gdynia Maritime Academy visited Port of Gdynia Authority SA. The aim of the seminary was presentation of port's development plans and current cargo turnover results. The most important subject was future Logtic Centre in Western Port.
By emerging the Logistic Centre in about 40 ha plot of land, Gdynia will create more favourable environment for value added services demanded by cargoes handled at the port's container terminals - BCT - Baltic Container Terminal, the subsidiary of International Container Terminal Service, Inc. and the newly constructed GCT - Gdynia Container Terminal - the project of Hutchison Port Holdings. Both terminals increase their potential and have great future plans. Within a coming year container terminals as well as future Logistic Centre area will be connected directly to the national road network by a newly constructed of the missing part of Kwiatkowski Road.
The seminary was one of regular meetings with students of Technical University of Gdaсsk, University of Gdaсsk and Gdynia Maritime Academy in Port of Gdynia.
