OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2007. Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) became the winner of European Chempions Cup. On Sunday Metallurg won in the final match with "Sparta" (Prague) 5:2, reported the press-centre of Energy Consulting.

Metallurg did not only win the trophy, but also the right to face an NHL challenger in the inaugural Victoria Cup, which is to be played on October 1, 2008, at a venue in Europe to be determined.
