Bank of Lithuania Decreases External Assets
OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2007. In December 2007, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 13,1 million to form LTL 18,0 billion at the end of the month, while external liabilities increased by LTL 1,0 billion to LTL 1,1 billion at the end of the month, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.
In December, currency in circulation increased by LTL 320,3 million to LTL 9,2 billion at the end of the month. Resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 1,4 billion over the month, as a result of transactions, to form LTL 6,8 billion at the end of the month.
Deposits of other MFIs went up by LTL 817,6 million as a result of transactions to make up LTL 3,7 billion at the end of the month, while central government deposits decreased as a result of transactions by LTL 2,2 billion to LTL 3,0 billion at the end of December.
