Despite of the action was prepared in Moscow the presentations held at schools № 45, 51, 109, PROMO-M, education centre № 109 and ordinary school non-state educational establishment of the education centre of OAO Gazprom). Children from different parts of our country (Perm, Тula, Saint Petersburg, Tver, Abinsk, Krasnoyarsk and other) sent letters and cards for the children.

– I like to write and get letters. They beguile monotony, says11-years Andrey Tretyakov, patient of Oncohematological Department of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. Letters helped me to meet good friend. Some time ago we just exchanged letters and she comes to me now. But we still write each other because you can say in the letter the thing you never say to person.

The students of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia arranged the movement “Live letter” hope that the action would become a tradition. Children in hospital need positive emotions that solve half of the problem according to doctors’ opinion. The project is also very important lesson of kindness, understanding and mercy for schoolchildren and students.

– We showed that kindness doesn’t have time or distance limits, comments Maria Petrova, one of arrangers of the action “Present joy!”. It’s not necessary to spend money to make act of kindness. Currently, people highly appreciate care. Sometimes we can just send “live” letter and card to support or make people happy.

The children also got letters from STS TV anchor Tatyana Lazareva, Na-Na former lead singer Vladimir Levkin, TNT TV anchor Alina Velikaya and members of People’s Friendship University of Russia KVN team.

The students treated letter exchange enthusiastically. To implement the idea Russian Post provided them with the envelopes.

Most of all children admired Christmas tree decorated with cards and Smeshariki accompanied students came to children. Each child got present of Veselie kartinki, Murzilka and TV channel for children Jetix. Children at schools sent books and small souvenirs with the letters.

Nоte:
Students of People’s Friendship University of Russia started out to develop public movement “Live Letter”. It is out of politics and religions.

This movement aims at rebirthing tradition of writing “live” letters. Young generation is Internet generation that is more accustomed to typing, making words shorter and not wasting time. Аs for “Live Letter” it is a try to leave a part of yourself not in electronic mode where you are limited by font types and pages, but in real world where you can’t delete feelings by the same “delete” key.

Public movement “Live Letter” doesn’t call young generation for refusing Internet, as first of all it is impossible and, secondly, there is no need in it. We don’t consider Internet as a competitor. We’d rather see it as an ally. Nowadays young people spend so much time on line and web-network is the place where we can put a message across it.

The students worked out projects “Present joy!” and “Go to post” within the framework of the movement mentioned. FSUE Russian Post was the partner of the action.
