OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2007. Mikhailovsky iron ore mining and processing plant (MGOK) managed by Metalloinvest Management Company successfully passed the first audit and proved compliance of the quality management system with international standard ISO 9001:2000, reported the press-centre of Mikhailovsky GOK.

The mining and iron-ore dressing production technologies were checked by experts of an independent auditing company “TUV SUD Management Service”, significant improvement in the operating processes demonstrated by the enterprise; sales, shipment and HR departments underwent auditing procedures as well. The auditors noted many positive factors such as a high level of safety, professionalism of central technological laboratory specialists who test the plant’s products. 

The experts didn’t find any deviation from the international quality standards requirements during the audit and gave only two recommendations which will help in further development of the quality management system at MGOK.

Mikhailovsky GOK’s target for 2008 is to implement environment protection management system according to international standard ISO 14001:2004.
