OREANDA-NEWS. On January 14, 2007 OJSC TNK-BP Holding has come in first in the Russia-wide competition “High Social Performance Organization in Russia.”  The competition was held for the seventh time last year, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The competition is organized by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Public Health and Social Development.  Furthermore, government entities as well as Russia-wide employer unions and trade unions take part in defining Russian high social performance organizations.

A decision by the competitive commission awarded OJSC TNK-BP Holding first place in the main competitive category, “Resource Economy and the Environment.”

Some 910 organizations from 77 federal entities of the Russian Federation, representing all sectors of the Russian economy, took part in the seventh all-Russia competition.

The competition organizers proposed the most objective and precise evaluation of nominees.  Data are processed by a special computer program, using various methods for each category.  Then, the competitive commission conducts an in-depth inspection of the results obtained and studies additional materials.  Winners are determined according to the total information obtained.
The “High Social Performance Organization in Russia” competition is held for the purpose of bringing the resolution of social issues in enterprises and organizations to the attention of the general public, demonstrating the high performance involved in this work through the example set by the best organizations (i.e. the competition winners), and for the purpose of broad dissemination and encouragement of positive experience in this field.
