OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2007. Successful work in the last month of last year was determined by precise and continuous supply of raw material and power resources for efficient production of products on all metallurgical stages taking into consideration capital repair of blast furnace No.5. The sintering plant provided the blast furnace workers with their products as required according to their orders.

Production of high quality sinter totaled to 431455 tons, out of which 270611 tons of pig iron was produced, amounting to 101.4% or 3811 tons exceeding the assignment.

The open-hearth furnace operators fulfilled the production programme of the month by 103.5%, producing 360462 tons of steel, creating prospects for productive work of the rolling production stage. The rolling operators over fulfilled their assignment by 20600 tons, producing 304611 tons of finished products.

The volume of commercial goods produced by Zaporizhstal workers in December amounted to 764 million 718.9 thousand UAH or more than planned by 61 million 353.9 thousand UAH.

In the first month of New Year, in correspondence with the planned assignment, approved by the Chairman of the Board V.A. Satskiy, it has been foreseen to produce 470.0 thousand tons of sinter, 285 thousand tons of steel, 300.0 thousand tons of rolled products.
