OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2007. The main production data of the KAMAZ group of enterprises grew by 20 percent on average within 2007.

The KAMAZ group of enterprises produced and realized products to the amount of R85,249 billion that is by 22,75% higher than in 2006 in comparable prices.

The largest KAMAZ subsidiaries of a united technological cycle outside Tatarstan solidly improved production and realization volumes:
– “Avtopritsep-KAMAZ” Inc. (Stavropol) – by 15,25%;
– “NEFAZ” Inc. (Neftekamsk) – by 21,75%;
– “Tuimazy Concrete Delivery Truck Works” – by 43,95%.

In total there were sold 52,648 trucks on the domestic and foreign markets (+20,2%). Russian KAMAZ customers received 39,187 trucks (+20,75%), foreign customers – 13,461 vehicles (+18,55%). Every fourth KAMAZ truck is as before exported.

4,360 units (trucks, buses and trailing machinery) were leased – an increase of 44,3% to 2006. The KAMAZ group leased 1,267 NEFAZ buses on KAMAZ chassis (an increase of 16,4%), 12,039 trailers, semitrailers and other trailing machinery (19,4% increase).

There were produced 63,184 engines and KAMAZ power units (+21,05%), 12 thousand out of them – as separate offerings; spare parts to the amount of R10,036 billion (+21,55% in comparable prices); diversification products for R9,486 billion (+31,3%).

Besides, KAMAZ rendered services for R4,223 billion (41,55% increase).

According to the assembly on the mother assembly conveyor of the KAMAZ automobile plant, all lines and types of series-produced chassis and vehicle equipment on their basis improved as compared with 2006.

At the center of attention there are heavy-duty vehicles on the basis of the well-known dump truck KAMAZ-6520. The total assembly of new models KAMAZ-65201, -6522, -65224, -65225, -65226 the serial production of which was started during the last two years increased more than by 68,5%.

The line of medium-tonnage vehicles – the youngest in the family – again increased its share in the total KAMAZ production volume and grew by 31% as compared with 2006.

In accordance with the demands of the KAMAZ market development old-fashioned marks of chassis were replaced by modern models with high performance characteristics and consumer properties.

Nevertheless, the demand for all types and models of KAMAZ vehicles in 2007 was so high that production of only two positions of chassis was reduced in whole. For example, production of the chassis 43114 reduced by 400 units during the year. It was replaced by the commercial analog of the six-wheel military Mustang – KAMAZ-5360. Production of this all-wheel drive vehicle increased more than fivefold, the total production of biaxial KAMAZ-4350 and -43501 – almost threefold, and of eight-wheel KAMAZ-6350, -63501, -63502 and -6450 – more than threefold. Production of other models of KAMAZ all-wheel drive vehicles also grew. For instance, there were assembled KAMAZ-43118 chassis by 17,7% more, and tractive units on its basis (KAMAZ-44108) – by 58,7%. Lighter chassis of this line – KAMAZ-43255, -4326 and -43261 – also had appreciable success.

Technical regulations implementing international standards Euro-3 in Russia will naturally precipitate renovation of the KAMAZ family in 2008.
