Irkutsk HPP Generates 200 Bln W-Hrs of Electricity
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2008. 200 billion watt-hours of the electric power were produced by the equipment of Irkutsk Hydroelectric Power Station of JSC Irkutskenergo. The press-service of JSC Irkutskenergo reports that this occurred on January 13, 2008 at 16.31 (local time). The benchmark of the third hundred of billion watt-hours was observed by the shift manager of the station Aleksandr Votintsev, shift manager of the electric shop Viktor Ermakov and engineer of the hydroelectric generating set Aleksandr Kuvshinov.
52 years have passed since the moment of start-up of the first unit at the first large hydroelectric power station constructed in Eastern Siberia. First 100 billion were generated by the station on December 13, 1983 at 16 o'clock.
