Port of Gdynia Receives over 600 Million for Investment Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2007. Port of Gdynia Authority assigned over 600 million zlotys for investment projects to be realized in the years 2008-2010. The first investment includes construction of a new Ferry Terminal infrastructure, building and modernization of the road access to the new Ferry Terminal, building and rebuilding railway to the new Ferry Terminal.
Another one will provide the favourable conditions for unitized cargo handlings in order to increase its traffic through the port of Gdynia. The third project's aim is to improve navigational conditions (depth and safety) in Port of Gdynia as well as to increase the maximum vessel draft up to 13.5 m. The Logistic Centre ( the 4th project) will be located in Western Port behind the Kwiatkowski Flyover nearby container terminals. The area will have about 40 ha. The last of the 5 huge projects is "Development of the Ro-Ro Terminal". The aim of this investment is construction and modernization of two ro-ro ramps and construction and modernization of manoeuvring places.
There are are also smaller projects planned to be realized in the port of Gdynia.
