OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2007. Aztelekom, a company under the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies (MCIT) continues process of electronization of automatic telephone exchanges in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan.

The MCIT informed that process is to finish by late 2008.

“Until the end of 2008 analog ATEs located in various regions will be replaced with electronic exchanges. Thus, telephone network electronization is scheduled for completion by late 2007. ATE electronization on country’s regions makes 70% and in early 2007 it made 65.1%,” the Ministry said.
