Alyona Ashurkova, NCC president, notes, "In December, 2007 the NCC terminals reached new record results which confirmed our status of an undisputable market leader. I am proud to say that over the course of the last year each of the NCC terminals exceeded its own monthly records of previous periods several times and set an example for the competition. As a result, FCT handled almost one million TEU, NUTEP showed an increase of 50% despite complicated operational conditions, UTC moved one level up having completed yet another phase of terminal expansion and will be able to handle up to 850 000 TEU per annum. New berths were built at Ust-Luga Container Terminal. We do not intend to slow down as we enter and are committed to move forward providing high-quality services to our clients when container throughput continues to grow".
