Azovstal Iron & Steel Works Increased Output of Products in 2007
OREANDA-NEWS. On January 09, 2007 PJSC "Azovstal Iron & Steel Works" increased the output of major products for 2007: iron production made 5,442 mln. tons which is 379,2 thou. tons higher, than for 2006, reported the press-centre of Azovstal Iron & Steel Works.
Steel production increased: by the results of 2007 it made 6,327 mln. tons which is 323,8 thou. tons higher than the output of 2006.
The Works increased the rolled products output: for the past year it made 5,612 mln. tons which is 343,7 thou. tons higher than the figures of 2006. The decrease of coke output was caused by utilization optimization of Azovstal coke-chemical production and redistribution of coke output within "Metinvest" Group.
In December 2007 Azovstal produced 500,5 thou. tons of iron; 581 thou. tons of steel; 545 thou. tons of rolled products and 208,2 thou. tons of bulk coke of 6% moisture.
