OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2007. A delegation leading by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visits Ashgabat. Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov greeted the honorary guests at the Ashgabat International Airport.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has received the Prime Minister of Tatarstan. The bilateral intergovernmental talks are expected to conclude in issuing the documents aimed at furthering co-operation between Turkmenistan and one of the largest regions of the Russian Federation.

The delegation of fraternal Tatarstan consists of the representatives of the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan and the heads of the large-scale enterprises including KamAZ Open JSC, Tatneft, Kazanskiy vertoletny zavod, M. Gorkiy plant, etc.

During the two-day visit Rustam Minnikhanov and the Tatar delegation will visit the landmarks of the Turkmen capital, the Ashgabat Textile Complex and the construction site of the KamAZ Training and Service Centre in Ashgabat.

In the afternoon, the presentation of Ruhnama published in the Tatar language will be held at the Magtymguly Music and Drama Theatre. The artistic groups from Tatarstan will perform at the presentation.
