OREANDA-NEWS. On January 04, 2007 transcontinental marathon “Russian breakthrough” starts from Moscow. Offroaders of Russian manufacture take part in it, including two Chevrolet Niva Trophy vehicles produced at GM-AVTOVAZ, reported the press-centre of GM-AVTOVAZ.

On different route stages GM-AVTOVAZ’s team will be represented by Engineering Director Helmut Frommann, Quality Director John Slack, Experimental and Advanced Engineering Manager Vadim Klassen and Corporate and Export Sales Manager Artyom Dybo.

The route will go through different climatic and temperature conditions, through sand dunes, gravel and stony roads, mountains and jungles.

For 65 days of expedition the participants will have to cross 35 countries of European and African continents and pass in total about 40 thousand km.
