OREANDA-NEWS. January 9, 2008. Construction of a new two-block deep water platform called Umid-1 has been started at Baku Deep Water Jackets Plant named after Heydar Aliyev. The platform will be installed in a depth of 60 meter, in Umid oil and gas condensate structure in perspective, which is situated 15-km far from Bulla-Daniz field.

According to the president of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev, construction is to be completed by September, 2008. The first exploration well will be drilled in a depth of 6500 meter to the seventh horizon of productive layer in December. The new platform will promote implementation of Gas Program in the country.
