OREANDA-NEWS. January 9, 2008. As it is known, there are important actions are carried out to bring up young generation to have all-round development within “The Actions Plan on declaring 2007 as a Year of Youth” confirmed with the relevant decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev. SOCAR also actively takes part in these actions. Thus, SOCAR financed construction of the Youth Center in Gusar and it was put into service on December 29.

The president of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev, the representatives of the Company and public representatives took part in the opening ceremony. The president of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev acquired a familiarity with the building and was pleased of construction. It should be noted that the Youth Center offers all necessary facilities the youth of Gusar for leisure activities. In addition to installation of 10 computers, entertainment and information rooms are available in the center.

 R. Abdullayev noted that the government achieved to bring up healthy and modern youth during the presidency of Ilham Aliyev, the worthiest successor of the great leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Having emphasized the important role of information to educate society, R. Abdullayev remarked the significance of applying the modern information and communication technologies in implementation of the youth policy. It paves the way for better adjustment of youth to the information-oriented society. At the end of his speech the president of SOCAR mentioned that next year the Company would construct a new building for Central Hospital in Gusar.
