OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2007. A trade turnover between Ukraine and Kazakhstan has upped 36fold over the latest four years, Kazakh Ambassador to Ukraine Amangeldi Zhumabaev said, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

According to him the oversee trade turnover between the states totaled 2,530,000,000 USD in January to October.

Kazakhstan's export to Ukraine totaled 53%. Notably Ukraine is considered by Kazakhstan as priority country as Kazakhtan's trade with the EU is fulfilled via Ukraine.

The Ukrainian -Kazakh cooperation mainly focused on fuel and energy tasks, transport sector's development and oil supply.

2006 trade turnover between Ukraine and Kazakhstan totaled 2 bn , which was by 85% more versus in 2005.
