RA Government Commission Reviews Nine Programs
OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2007. The commission has reviewed 9 programs, including: a "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund-implemented program for capital repair of 3 therapeutic wards at the Kanaker-Zeytoun medical center in Yerevan, 4 programs carried out by the Armenia branch of the Armenian Relief Fund of America, referred to as "Charitable Canteens" "Education," "Training for Physicians" and "Scientific Grants," a program to be implemented by "Armenian Register of Bone-Marrow Donors" relief fund for 2008-2010 aimed at founding a center for collection and conservation of blood stalk cells in Armenia, as well as the "Shoes Box" program to be implemented in 2008-2009 by "International Christian Cultural Services" charitable association.
The program, carried out by "Otevan" young Christians' association in 2007-2008, will help repair the students' hostel in Nor-Nork community of Yerevan. 17 refurbished rooms are expected to host people in search of refuge in Armenia.
A "Family" public charity-sponsored program will provide for the repairs of "Family" children's creative center in Gyumri town.
The meeting has similarly discussed and approved a number of contracts and arrangements passed under standing programs, as well as several projects of import of charitable freight destined to various organizations operating in Armenia.
