During 2007, the area of the passenger terminal was significantly expanded. Here passengers can chose from among over 50 restaurants and cafes or visit a DVD cinema. A room for mothers with children is available free of charge to passengers with children. It is open around the clock.
To increase the throughput of the check-in area a new service was introduced: check-in 24 hours prior to scheduled departure, allowing passengers to avoid lines in the peak hours by doing advanced check-in for their scheduled flights. To accelerate passenger departure formalities the passport control area of Sector А of the international airlines departure zone was expanded in 2007. The introduction of state-of-the-art SafeScout100 screening machines significantly accelerated passenger inspection procedure prior departure.
