SOCAR Appoints New Vice-President
OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2007.With the decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed on December 27, 2007 Gorkhmaz Javanshir oghlu Huseynov was appointed a vise-president on social affairs, Mukhtar Bahadur oghlu Babayev was appointed a vise-president on ecology, and Khalik Rafi oghlu Mammadov was appointed a vise-president on cadre, regime and information technologies of SOCAR.
On December 28 the president of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev introduced the new appointed vise-presidents to the heads of the departments and divisions of the company. Gorkhmaz Huseynov was born in the village Isakhli of Jabrayil in 1965. He is an engineer-economist. Starting his career at Neft Dashlary oil and gas extraction department of Caspian Oil and Gas Production Association in 1989, G. Huseynov worked as a head of the Department of Social Development in SOCAR until the last appointment. Mukhtar Babayev was born in Baku in 1967. He is an alumnus of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov, Azerbaijan State Institute of Economy and All-Russia Academy of Foreign Trade. Starting the labor activity in the State Economy and Planning Committee of Azerbaijan Republic, M. Babayev worked as a head of the Department of Marketing and Operations in SOCAR until now. Khalik Mammadov was born in the village Kakalos of Astara in 1958. He graduated from the Oil and Chemistry Institute of Azerbaijan named after M. Azizbayov as an electrical engineer in 1984. He started his career in the New Baku Refinery (now Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev) in 1976 and worked as a head of Administrative Department in SOCAR until his last appointment.
